George W. Ryan

George has been a Police Officer for the City of Los Angeles since 1992 and is currently assigned to the Department's Special Weapons And Tactics (SWAT) Platoon. George began his tour in SWAT in January of 1998 and has responded to hundreds of Barricaded Gunman incidents, participated in the preparation and service of hundreds of High-Risk Warrant services and is a veteran of numerous hostage rescues.

George is a Nationally recognized martial arts expert and Department Defensive Tactics expert. George was instrumental in developing the Defensive Tactics Cadre for the LAPD SWAT team and is the Defensive Tactics Chairperson for the National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA). Additionally, George is the lead instructor for defensive tactics, ground fighting, and arrest and control techniques for L.E.A.D. Consultants.

George is an expert marksman and senior member of the LAPD Firearms Cadre.
