Kenneth Pickart

Police officer for the City of Los Angeles since 1981, assigned to Metropolitan Division, Special Weapons And Tactics (SWAT) in January of 1991.

LAPD SWAT Element Leader and veteran operator/sniper with experience in: responding to barricaded suspect incidents, barricaded/hostage incidents, preparation of high-risk arrest and search warrants, providing security to V.I.P.'s visiting Los Angeles (e.g., President of the United States, foreign Heads of State, etc.), responding to alleged terrorist activity with both local and international overtones, acting as an operator or primary negotiator to defeat these threats and other overt terrorist activity, and providing training to SWAT and Los Angeles Police Department personnel.

Consultant experience includes; Instructor for the National Tactical Officer's Association (NTOA), International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), United States Drug Enforcement Administration, U.S. Department of State Anti-Terrorist Assistance Program, Florida SWAT Association, trainer for LAPD entities and LAPD SWAT personnel, trainer of hundreds of law enforcement personnel from visiting agencies and military personnel as well.
